JEE Advanced 2021 Postponed: IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) Kharagpur has postponed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 in view of the spreading COVID-19 situation across in country.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has postponed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 in view of the deteriorating COVID-19 situation across the country. The examination was scheduled for July 3, 2021. “In view of the prevailing epidemic situation due to COVID-19, JEE (Advanced) 2021 which was scheduled to be held on 03 July 2021 (Saturday) has been postponed. The revised date of the examination will be announced at the appropriate time, ”IIT Kharagpur said in the official notification.
JEE Advanced consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. While Paper I was scheduled to be held in the morning shift – from 9 am to 12 noon, Paper II was scheduled in the afternoon shift – 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
JEE Advanced is a gateway to undergraduate, integrated master and dual degree courses at 23 IITs in the country. Every year, the JEE Advanced exam is conducted jointly by seven regional coordinators IIT-IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee.
OTHER CHANCE FOR ASPIRANTS:
Candidates who successfully registered to appear in the JEE Advanced in 2020 but were absent for the exam due to COVID-19 will be allowed to re-appear directly in 2021. He has been given exemption to re-qualify by writing JEE Main 2021.
All candidates who get a second chance to write JEE Advanced will be considered as none other than the total number of those who have passed JEE Main 2021 to not affect this year’s candidates.
